The Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade, is pleased to announce the second Symposium MATHEMATICS AND APPLICATIONS, national conference with international participation.
The event will take place at the Faculty of Mathematics, Studentski trg 16, Belgrade, from May 27th to May 28th, 2011.
This Symposium continues a series of successful national annual conferences and meetings organized by the Faculty of Mathematics. One of the main aims of this event is promotion of science and education in mathematics and informatics and their place in contemporary society.
We believe that this gathering will be interesting to affirmed scientists, professors, teachers, as well as to students and everyone else in the profession and that it will serve as an impetus for the renovation of the existing and the acquisition and implementation of new knowledge.
The two-day Symposium will be realized through three sections:
- Mathematics and applications – today
- Mathematics and informatics in education
- Scientific research and professional work of students
We invite all interested participants, as well as guests, to fill in an electronic application form by 10th May 2011.
In each section, presentations should last 20 minutes approximately, followed by a short discussion where listeners can ask and give comments.
The official language of the Symposium is Serbian. Some talks may be given in English as well.
