Program of the Simposium

The two-day Symposium will be realized through three sections:

  • Mathematics and applications – today
  • Mathematics and informatics in education
  • Scientific research and professional work of students
Program of the Symposium is here.

Mathematics and applications – today

This section regards to mathematics and applications today, the new directions in research and achieved results. Within this section, our colleagues, prominent scientists, professors, researchers and our guests will present the new researches and share the results of their scientific work with us.

Mathematics and informatics in education

In this section, professors and teachers of mathematics and informatics in elementary and high schools will have an opportunity to present the learning and teaching processes nowadays. They will share their impressions and experiences with other colleagues and talk about their methods in order to pay attention to actual problems and to suggest some ideas on solving these problems and to give initiative for thinking about new organized actions, which can bring popularity of mathematics.

How to promote mathematics, how to motivate students, how to make mathematics more accessible and interesting in connection with everyday life are some of the topics in this section.

This section is approved by ZUOV as a conference under the title „Improvements in the teaching of mathematics and informatics”. This conference presents a form of continuous professional development of teachers (see http://www.zuov.rs/programi1/StrucniSkupovi.aspx, respectively http://www.zuov.rs/programi1/detaljiStrucniSkup.aspx?kod=S1205201).

All participant (speaker and listener) will receive the appropriate sertificate. Participation on the conference is free of charge for all participants.

Scientific research and professional work of students

The graduate and undergraduate students involved in mathematical research are invited to give a scientific talk on their scientific work and projects.

All MSc, PhD students and young researchers, which have finished their programs, are welcome to present their recent work.
